You may think that a loved one is in trouble and that they have a serious anxiety problem. It may be something that you can help out with such as a home life situation or it may be something completely out of your control such as a work related matter. Either way its not nice seeing a loved one constantly unhappy because of their anxiety issues. However they do have someone like you who wants to help and make sure that they get over this problem with your help. This article gives you a few ways of how to treat anxiety in a loved one and how to get them to see that their life should be better.

Before we decide that your loved one has anxiety problems, we first need to understand what anxiety is. Anxiety is that worrying feeling you get when things aren’t going right or how you want them to. This feeling can vary from a mild irritation to a complete feeling of helplessness where nothing seems to be going right. You may notice some physical warning signs that your loved one is suffering from anxiety such as sleeplessness, feeling sick, breathlessness, dizziness and general feeling of fatigue. IF you think that your loved one definitely has anxiety issues then you can begin to help them. The first and most important step is getting them to admit that they do have a problem that they can’t see a way around.

Once they can admit this problem then they can ask for help. Because you are not in the situation and may not know its full extent then you may be unaware of what help they will need. IT may be that they want you to help them find a new job, it may be that they want you to help them with the kids every now and again or your role may just be for someone to talk to. They may decide that they want to take the route of counseling or they may just feel an awful lot better once you’ve talked everything out. There is also a lot of information on the Internet and available in ebook format that will tell you how to treat panic attacks and how to help someone see that they have a problem that needs dealing with. Maybe by simply printing off some information and showing them the similarities will be enough to get them to admit to their anxiety issues.
