Hottest Christmas Toys 2010: Video Games

Each and every year, there is always a list of what the hottest Christmas toys will be each year.  Often times, one or two top video games will make it onto the list as one of the hottest items each year.  This year, there are going to be a lot of great video games coming out for Christmas time, and so you’ll definitely want to know more about them, especially if you’re considering  buying one of them for your child.

  • Halo Reach – The final installment in the Halo series, this is a prequel to the entire Halo saga.  You’ll be able to see what all transpired before Halo 1, 2 and 3.  It will feature the awesome multiplayer action that you’ve come to expect from the Halo series.  It will feature new maps, new weapons, and near vehicles and armor.  It will definitely be one of the hottest games.
  • Xbox 360 Kinect – While the Wii was popular for the last few years, Microsoft is coming out with a new way to control video games using motion… by suing your entire body.  You won’t be tied down to a controller, instead you’ll be able to use the Kinect camera and move your body around and  also using your voice.  They will have a myriad of games you’ll be able to control with your motion.  They’ll even have some great fitness games that mom and dad can enjoy as well.  You will need an Xbox 360 for this.
  • Another motion control device, much like the Nintendo Wii, is Sony Playstation’s Move.  Move will feature two controllers, that you’ll be able to use as wands to control motion in the video games.  So, if your kids have a Playstation 3, and not an Xbox and they want to have motion controls, then you may want to look into getting the Move this Christmas.

It’s definitely going to be a big Christmas for video games… especially motion control video games.
