    cool but only 3x optical zoom. i would go with the Canon SD880 or the Panasonic TZ5 10x optical zoom.

    Yes it does take video in VGA. The Quality is decent for mediums such as youtube and short video memories.

    What’s the word on this in terms of both audio & video quality compared to a cameraphone? (I’ve been using a cameraphone for so long thanks to my Mini DV video camera being squelched that I have no idea what the quality difference is).

    The quality is better than a camera phone, however, it will not replace a DV camcorder. I would say it is marginally better and audio is captured on a slightly higher scale. Thanks for the question.
