Canon purposely held back on the video resolution. This is so that they can release something better later.
I’m disappointed with the low video resolution. It’s all about HD video these days.

Can someone compare this camera with
    Ricoh R10
I see Richo R10 can do (no paper ) almost everything this camera does and also 7.5x zoom too.
It also allows editing on camera without photoshop.
Can you do a view review on Ricoh R10 please.

how does it perform in low light conditions?

I bought a canon g9 about 3 months ago. It has been rendered useless becuase of tons of hair/dirt/dust on the lens. Im told canon has realized there is a problem with this. My question is, does the movie mode allow you to adjust the audio level like the g9?

This is way better than SD1100. If I give SD1100 75 points out of 100, i’d give the SD 880IS 120 points out of 100.

  20. EliteAlan on January 1st, 2009 4:54 pm

I am glad that I bought this camera. It is the best power shot camera from Canon yet. And I am 100% satisfied with the feedbacks from my family members and friends.

Does this DC has widescreen mode(16:9)for video? Does this DC has zoom in function during video?

  22. hectorbambino on January 1st, 2009 4:54 pm

Absolutely yes. The numeric nomenclature Canon uses to designate its cameras doesn’t really makes sense. This is a better camera than the SD1000 and SD1100

  23. Slaxfezi on January 1st, 2009 4:54 pm

I was wondering if CANON is really the most gighly performing mark of digital cameras between the the other ones or not, so I think that’s quietly obvious CANON Inc, the best technologies in the world juste because of the numerous options included in.

  24. TigerSlashX on January 1st, 2009 4:54 pm

is this better then the sd1100 and 1000?
