All The Top Rated Compact Digital Cameras You Can Stand

If you’ve been spending any time at all looking for a digital camera your probably more than just a little overwhelmed. There are plenty of models to choose from, and each one seems to be surrounded by a gaggle of techno babble and sales clerks both real and digital. To get one of the best top rated digital cameras for your budget, can be a simple process, if you know where and how to look.

The where is not too difficult. Typically, your looking for a reputable seller you can trust to provide helpful service, good support for when you have problems, and offer reasonable prices for their cameras. In the offline world, that could mean your favorite big box electronics store, or maybe not. While they’ll have a big selection, and somewhat competitive pricing, their pimply faced pubescent sales staff can be annoying and pushy in a smarmy contemptuous sort of way. There are of course good ones too, it’s just a bit of a crap shoot.

If your not a big fan of the big box guys, there is also your local boutique style camera shops. They can be a bit expensive, and their selections doesn’t quite match up with the Best Buys and Circuit City shelves, but their sales staff can be excellent. If your lucky enough to go during the school hours, your more likely to catch the owner working the counter instead of the high school aged staff. That’s your best chance of getting top notch advice. They can be expensive of course, and specialty shops are more likely to carry the pricier models.

Shopping offline or on the web is also an increasingly popular option these days. Since your already here, you may as well save the trip downtown or to the mall and make your purchase while your waiting for that totally legit and paid for movie download to finish burning onto your DVD. While your at it, dump that DVD and pick yourself up a blu-ray machine with your smokin’ new Canon Rebel XSi. Better make it a blu-ray compatible PS3, as Sony still has their players and all other manufacturers badgered into pricing a plain old blu-ray for at least a $100 more than a PS3. A woefully transparent attempt to ressurect the PS3 from the butt kicking it’s been taking at the hands of the Nintendo Wii. Why would anyone get just a plain jane PS3? Woooah . . . I digress too much! Where was I???

Right, buying your camera online. It’s perfect. The best selection. Basically every camera manufactured, by any manufacturer, plus a few no longer manufactured thanks to eBay and Amazon. Not to mention cut throat competition for pricing. Just don’t do something crazy, and buy from some backwater website, whose webmaster decided selling gray market electronics would be the perfect way to pay for his crack addiction. You really want a site you know will ship after they have your money. You don’t want to be gouged on shipping charges, and you want to know you can return the item if and when a problem arises without hassles or excessive expenses. Amazon is one of those sites. eBay and TigerDirect are good as well.
